Franklin "Roy" Rogers

A celebration of life for Franklin “Roy” Rogers, 73, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Turner Baptist Church in Wills Point, with Pastor Fred Cooper officiating.

Franklin Roy Rogers was born February 7, 1944, in Dallas, TX, to parents, Clarence Edwin Rogers and Bertha Viola Choea Rogers. He raised his family in Mesquite. Roy was a grocery produce manager, later becoming a whole sale buyer. He passed away in Mesquite on January 15, 2018.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha Rogers; brothers, Walter and Bobby Rogers; sisters, Dorothy Rogers, Ida Rogers and Ruth Shaver.

Roy is survived by his son, Brian Rogers and wife, Marie; daughter, Shelly Pocrnich and husband, Donald; grandchildren, Jessica, Alexandra, Christina, Tabitha and Wesley; seven great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Rogers and sisters, Ruby Turner and Lilly Ann Higginbotham.
