Dortha Irene Graham

Funeral services for Dortha Irene Graham, 88, of East Tawaknoi, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, January 26, 2018, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Small Cemetery in Edgewood. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.

Dortha Irene Wesson was born March 26, 1929, in Cawaba, North Carolina, to parents, Glenn Wesson and Fannie Wilcoxson Wesson. She was raised in North Carolina before moving to Texas where she attended school in the Small community in Edgewood. Dortha married James Harold Jones and they had three children, Ted, Helen and Larry and were married for 43 years. She later married John Graham in 1996, moved to Lake Fork in late 1997 and then moved to East Tawakoni-Point in 2010. Dortha was a homemaker and loved to fish, sew and play dominos. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edgewood.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Fannie Wesson; first husband, James Harold Jones; son, Larry Don Jones; son-in-law, Carl Shelby; sister-in-law, Jerry Graham; brothers-in-law, Mac Foster, Lorell Graham and James Graham; great grandson, Justin Sommers.

Dortha is survived by her husband, John Graham of East Takawakoni; son, Ted Jones and wife, Molly, of Alba; daughter, Helen Shelby of Wills Point; daughter-in-law, widow of Larry Jones, Patty Jones of Edgewood; sisters, Glenda Ruth Foster of Edgewood and Babe Bryson and husband, James, of Wills Point; grandchildren, James Jones of Cooper, Amy Phillips of Cooper, Rachel Crowder of Bedford, Asa Shelby of Edgewood, Lisa Ball and husband, David, of Ridgeway, Fannie Knox and husband, Paul, of Wills Point, Josh Jones and wife, Kristy, of Edgewood and Colt Jones and wife, Kristal, of Edgewood; great grandchildren, Justin Shelby and wife, Audrey, Luke and Alex Phillips; Blake and Isabella Shelby; Jake and Maggie Jones; Crew, Easton and Josie Jones; Jonathan, Ethan, Dreu, Anna and Grace Jones, Kylie Pool, Makayla Jones; Staci, Cody and Tiffany Crowder; Shayla Lineberger and husband, Danny and Charlie Gibson; great-great grandchildren, Carl B.
