Charlotte Rae Stone

A celebration of life for Charlotte Rae Stone, 76, of Wills Point, TX, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Carpenter’s Way Church in Groves, TX. A private graveside will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves, TX. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.  

Charlotte passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019.

Charlotte Rae Dubose was born on January 20, 1943, in Crowley, LA, to parents, John Franklin Dubose and Nell Perry Dubose. She was raised in Port Arthur, TX and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. Charlotte married Darryl N. Stone on August 18th in Port Arthur, TX and they celebrated their sixtieth anniversary in 2019. She and Darryl lived in Maryland while he was serving in the military and then made their home in Groves, TX to raise their children. Charlotte was a secretary for Community Bank in Groves and was a member of the Val Verde Baptist Church. She moved to Wills Point in 2015 to be near her son. Charlotte loved her family and spending time with them telling funny stories.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Nell Dubose and daughter, Pamela Jo Tingler.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Darryl Stone of Wills Point; son, Mike Stone and wife, Denise of Edgewood; granddaughter, Amy Miller and husband, Clay of Sulfur, LA; brother, Douglas Dubose and wife, Linda of Orange, TX and Larry Dubose and wife, Karen of Houston, TX; sister, Ann Rambin of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Derrick, Erik, Jonathan, Adam and Loren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
