Funeral services for Bobby Ray Jenkins, 84, of Edgewood, are scheduled 11:00 AM, Friday, April 19, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Bobby passed away Thursday, April 11, 2019, at his home.

Bobby Ray Jenkins was born April 1, 1935, in Gladewater, TX, to parents, Estes Done and Etta Bell Blagburn Jenkins. He was raised in Dallas and graduated from Crozier Tech High School. After high school Bobby attended DeVry University in Dallas. Bobby married Tommie Jean Boaz in Dallas on February 10, 1956. He was an iron worker for over thirty years. Bobby was a member of the Masonic Temple Buckner Terrace of Dallas, Vice President of AFLCIO for the state of Texas and also the Business Manager and Financial Secretary for the Iron Workers Union #481.

He is preceded in death by parents, Estes Done and Etta Bell Jenkins; brother, Thomas Frealon Jenkins; grandson, Robert Allen Jenkins and his beloved Fiesty.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Tommie Jenkins of Edgewood, TX; sons, Bobby Ray “Butch” Jenkins, Jr. and wife, Tricia of Dallas, TX and Charles Jenkins of Edgewood, TX; daughter, Kathi Durant and husband, David of Edgewood, TX; grandchildren, Michael Barrilleaux of Petaluma, CA, Randy Jenkins of Royce City, TX, Jared Barrilleaux of Petaluma, CA, Joshua Jenkins of Silver City, NM, Patience Young of Ada, OK and Megan Jenkins of Wylie, TX; seven great grandchildren and several adopted grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, April 18, 2019, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
