Funeral services for Betty Pratt, 90, of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Tuesday, at Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. Services are under direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
Betty Morgan Pratt was born May 9, 1928, in Forney, TX, to the late Clint Taylor Morgan and Rubye Jamieson Morgan. She was a lifelong resident of Wills Point and graduated from Wills Point High School, Class of 1945. She married Johnny Pratt January 24, 1946, and they made their home in Austin while Johnny attended the University of Texas. Betty returned to Wills Point so that Johnny could work on the farm with her father. Betty worked as an independent insurance agent. She was co-owner with Jean Miracle of Home Insurance Agency. She sold the business and retired in 1985. Betty had a passion for White Rose Cemetery. She walked the cemetery and moved all the records into the digital age. She was a lifelong member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in Wills Point.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Pratt in 2010.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Viki Arnold and husband, Joe of Wills Point; nephew, Jim Parker and wife, Bonnie of McKinney; many great nieces and nephews; and two grand dogs, Sally and Lulu.
