Dan Hiett, Funeral Director

Karen Hiett, Funeral Director

Karen and I are both proud to now call Wills Point our home. I was raised in a small town community called Honey Grove, Texas, and a graduate of Harlingen High, in Harlingen, Texas in 1985.  I attended Dallas institute of Funeral Service and graduated in 1986.  I received my Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses in November of 1987.

I worked for over fifteen years for a funeral home in Mesquite, Texas, where we served over three hundred families a year. I was very fortunate to have worked with loving and caring co-workers during which time I also received an abundance of training.

Karen was born and raised in Wichita Fall, Texas, and graduated from Rider High in 1982. Karen graduated with a Funeral Director degree from St. Louis Community College, St. Louis, Mo., in June of 2006 and is also a Licensed Funeral Director in the state of Texas. She worked as a chair side assistant and also as co-office manager for Dr. Terry B. Adams in Dallas.

The opportunity that Karen and I have been given of owning our family business is every funeral directors dream. It certainly has enabled us to serve families and make them feel they are receiving the personal attention that is required in personalizing each individual funeral. It is our pledge at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home to offer a wide range of traditional funeral arrangements or cremation options, in a dignified manner to every family we serve with quality and value. We are members of your community, honored to serve you and your family.
