In Loving Memory Micaela R. Perales 4/18/1919 - 2/15/2010

Funeral services for Micaela R. Perales of Carrollton and formerly of Wills Point, are scheduled for 2:00pm, Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Hiett’s LyBrand Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Nick Vuong officiating. Burial will follow at Bright Star Cemetery in Wills Point.

Micaela passed away February 15, 2010, in Carrollton.

Micaela R. Reyes was born April 18, 1919, in Carrizo Springs, TX, to the late Jose and Petra Zarate Reyes. She grew up in Carrizo Springs where she attended school. On April 10, 1936, Micaela married Manuel S. Perales. They made their home in Crystal City until 1955, when they moved to Chicago. They lived in Chicago where Micaela worked in the home and raised their children, until moving to Dallas in 1975. They moved to Wills Point in 1994, where they made their home until the death Mr. Perales in 2004, at which time Micaela decided to back to Dallas.

Along with her parents, Jose and Petra Reyes, Micaela is also preceded in death by her husband of almost sixty eight years, Manuel Perales, three sisters, two brothers, two daughters-in-law, one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters, Minerva Castellanos and husband, Gil of Hoffman Estates, IL, Melva Henry-Slivinskas and husband, Bruno of LaGrange, IL, Nellie McInnish and husband, Bill Wilcox of Carrollton, Gloria Vizarra and husband, Juan of Collinsville, Pearl Turner and husband, Alex of Knox, IN, Micaela Choquette and husband, Gerald of Dallas and Diane McDonald and husband, C.F. Of Edgewood; sons, Manuel Perales, Jr. of Whitesboro, Joe Perales of Nacona, and Sal Perales and wife, Steffanie of Italy; thirty three grandchildren; sixty great-grandchildren; and sister Genoveva Ortize and husband, Felipe of Dallas.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening, 6:00-8:00pm and also two hours prior to the service. Rosary will be at 7:00pm on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
