In Loving Memory Etta Mae Whittington 2/15/1934 - 2/3/2010

Etta Mae Whittington, 75, of Wills Point, passed away at her home February 3, 2010. No services are planned at this time; local arrangements are with Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.

Etta Mae Woodcock was born February 15, 1934, in Thackerville, Oklahoma to Henry Allen and Zoe Ellen Gresham Woodcock. She grew up in Dallas and attended school at Addison High School. She was married to Clarence “Charlie” Whittington for over fifty years at the time of his death in 1996. Etta worked on the assembly line at Adell Corporation in Sunnyvale, where they fabricated parts for GM. She retired in 1993, and she and Charlie moved to Waco Bay Estates at Lake Tawakoni to make their home. She was of the Baptist faith.

Etta is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charlie Whittington.

She is survived by daughters, Charlene Phillips, Terry Burnett and JoAnn Lane, all of Wills Point; brother, Buddy Woodcock of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Brian Lane, Melanie Porter, Jesse Burnett, Josh Lane, Tammy Lane and Justin Lane; and eight great-grandchildren.
