Services for Jackie Wayne Rohus, 70, of Quitman, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Monday, February 1, 2010 at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point.

Jackie passed away January 29, 2010, in Tyler, after a short illness.

Jackie Wayne Rohus was born December 19, 1939, in Edgewood, TX, to the late Walter Isaac Rohus and Cumie Rohus. He attended school in Wills Point and Terrell. He served his country in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Jackie married Bennie Ewalt in 1957, and they had two children, Polly and Patty. He then married Betty Stamper in 1963, and they had two children, Burt and Jacquelyn and they were married until she passed away in 1982. Jackie later married Bobbie Kline and she preceded him in death in 2009. He worked at Terrell State Hospital for twelve years and he also worked as a carpenter in the construction business. Jackie was an avid collector of old coins and an Elvis Presley fanatic.

He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as, his wives, Betty Katherine Rohus and Bobbie Rohus; sister, Betty Boone, and brother Cullen Rohus.

Jackie is survived by his son, Burt Rohus and wife, Shirley of Mineola; daughters, Polly Jackson and husband, Jinks of Annapolis, MO, Patty Hollen and husband, Tom of Annapolis, MO, Jacquelyn Philpot and husband, Gary of Butte, MT; brother, Jimmy Rohus and wife, Charlene of Houston; sisters, Dorothy West, and Patsy Bunton of Alba; fourteen grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Family visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6-8 PM.
