William "Bill" Laney Price

Graveside services will be held at 10:15 AM, Friday, January 19, 2018, at the DFW National Cemetery.

William Laney Price was born January 16, 1933, in Blount County, Alabama to parents, William Laney Price, Sr. and Emma Grigsby Price. He was raised and attended school in Oneonta, AL. Bill was drafted by the United States Army in 1953, and his active duty was served in Germany. He was honorably discharged in 1955. Bill married Barbara Waters on December 24, 1955, in Baytown, TX and they settled in the Dallas area. They later moved to Mesquite in 1963, where they lived for 32 years and raised their children, Jeane, Jeff and Heath. Bill, a life member of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers Loc. 5, worked as a Supervisor for Dee Brown Masonary in Dallas and retired in 1996. He and Barbara moved to Wills Point in 1995, to make their home. Bill a Christian man who loved his family, enjoyed woodworking and gardening.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William Price, Emma Price and a sister, Faye Bullard.

Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Price of Wills Point; daughter, Jeane Oakman of Ft. Worth; sons, Jeff Price and wife, Cheryl, of Glade Park, CO and Heath Price and wife, Sheri, of Forney; sister, Lucille Allen of Boaz, AL; grandchildren, Christopher Urbanus and wife, Nichole, Erin Kirpatrick, Joseph Kirpatrick, Kellye Oakman, Paul Price, Matthew Price and Benjamin Price, along with great grandchild, Atlas James Urbanus.
