William K. "Bill" Hillhouse

Memorial services for William K. “Bill” Hillhouse, Sr., 85, of Tyler, TX, formerly of Edgewood, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.

Bill passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at his home in Tyler, Texas.

William Kenton Hillhouse, Sr. was born on June 15, 1931, in Galveston, TX, to parents, James Arthur Hillhouse and Ethel Conaway.  He was raised in Galveston and graduated from Ball High School. Bill went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force, as he served 18 years before retiring. He lived all over the United States working and continuing his education. For the Air Force, Bill was a Senior Medical Laboratory Specialist, as well as he had fifteen years’ experience in the U.S. Air Force, including five years as Chief Technologist. He attended many colleges including San Angelo State College in San Angelo, TX, University of the Philippines, Manila, Philippines, United States Armed Forces Institute in Madison, Wisconsin and USAF Primary Management School. Bill married Phyllis Peters in April of 1967, in Orange, Texas. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Wills Point. Bill loved to read, watch movies, was very family oriented and enjoyed family gatherings and activities.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Ethel Hillhouse; two brothers and four sisters.

Bill is survived by his wife, Phyllis Hillhouse of Tyler, TX; son, William “Kent” Hillhouse and wife, Cherry of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Rebecca Faye Schneider and husband, Vincent of Round Rock, TX; grandchildren, Gabriel Schneider, Steve Schneider, Rachel Schneider, along with one on the way, plus many other family members and friends.
