Roberta Ruby Gosnell

Funeral services for Roberta Ruby Gosnell, 71, of Wills Point will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point with Pastor Mark Stanford officiating. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery.

Roberta Ruby Maggard was born June 12, 1946, in Enid, Oklahoma to parents, Leroy Grant Maggard and Mimi Pauline Cannon Maggard. She was raised in Enid, Oklahoma where she attended school. Roberta married Howard Wilson Gosnell in Wichita, Kansas on May 29, 1963, where they also made their home. They moved to Arlington and lived there for many years before moving to Elmo in May of 1978. She and Howard then moved to Wills Point in 2017. Roberta was a homemaker and loved crafts and giving them as gifts. She had a very big heart and enjoyed watching cartoons, reading cookbooks and collecting clowns. Roberta was a member of the Cobb Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Howard Thomas Gosnell; brother, Harvey Maggard; sisters, Peggy Maggard Johnson and Edna Maggard.

Roberta is survived by her husband, Howard Wilson Gosnell of Wills Point; sons, Andy Wilson Gosnell and wife, Kim, of Grand Saline and Howard Robert Gosnell and wife, Jana, of Austin; daughter, Julie Addison and husband, Paul, of Wills Point; brother, Chet Maggard and wife, Linda, of Enid, OK; sisters, Dorothy Simmons and husband, Gerald, of Enid, OK and Melva Kirkpatrick and husband, Bill, of Enid, OK; grandchildren, Scott Addison, Clint Addison and wife, Sarah, Clay Addison and wife, Molly, Kaycee Pierce and husband, Adam and one on the way, Andrew Thomas Gosnell; great grandchildren, Lily Addison and Samuel Paul Pierce.

Visitation will be held one hour before service time.
