Robert passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017, at his home.

Robert Lee Upchurch, Sr. was born October 16, 1933, in Queen City, TX, to parents, William Jackson Upchurch and Mary Raby Yancy. Robert was raised in Queen City where he attended school. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Maryland. Robert married Patsy M. Norris, they later divorced and he married Dianna Marie Maynard in 1975. Dianna passed on November 14, 2010. Robert worked as a truck driver, worked in the oil field and later on, worked in Jefferson, TX for a pallet company. Robert was of the Pentecostal faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Upchurch; wife, Dianna Upchurch; daughter, Brenda Munden; brothers, William Upchurch, Leonard Upchurch, Ray Upchurch, Clarence Taylor and Billy Wayne Taylor; sister, Sybil Endsley.

Robert is survived by his sons, Robert Upchurch, Jr and wife, Gayle of Alba and Kevin Upchurch of Atlanta, TX; daughters, Glenda Phillips of Edgewood and Stephani Johnson and husband, Keith of Detroit, MI; brothers, James Upchurch and Phillip Taylor; sisters, Joyce Rogers and Ellen Stevenson, along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
