Randy Lynn Tanner

A celebration of life service for Randy “Bigbird” Lynn Tanner, will be held Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 2:00 PM at the Lifehouse Fellowship Church in Myrtle Springs with Pastor Mike Stone officiating.

Randy Lynn Tanner was born on December 10, 1979, in Dallas, TX, to Murray Clyde Tanner and Barbara Jean Tanner.  He was raised in Hutchins where he attended school, and later made his home in Myrtle Springs.  Randy worked in maintenance for First Monday and in construction, building residential housing.  Recently, Randy moved to Temple, where he worked rebuilding and restoring boats.  He enjoyed reading Stephen King Novels, drawing, fishing, volleyball, exercising, lifting weights and just all around sports. He loved planting flowers with his mom and daughter.

He was a loving man and would do anything for anybody. He had a big heart and wouldn’t want to see anyone hurt. Randy “Bigbird” loved visiting and helping his loved ones.

Randy “Bigbird” is survived by his parents, Murray and Barbara Tanner of Myrtle Springs; sons, Matthew Tanner of Myrtle Springs and Joshua Tanner of Athens; daughter, Alyssia Tanner of Edgewood; and a sister, Sandra Griffin of Royce City; and many other relatives and friends.
