Michael Wayne Bridwell

Funeral services for Michael Wayne Bridwell, 57, of Richardson, are scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday April 21, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery. A lunch reception will immediately follow the service.

Michael Wayne Bridwell was born December 23, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to parents, James Durwood Bridwell and Frances Eileen Mislivets. He died on April 15th feeling blessed to have lived 8 years after his aggressive cancer diagnosis. Mike was raised in Richardson, graduated from L.V. Berkner High School in 1979 and then attended Lincoln Technical Institute. He married Robin O’Brien in North Dallas in 1988 and they had one son, Christopher. Michael settled in North Dallas while working as a mechanic at several different Chevrolet dealerships. In 2001, he changed careers and began working as a pool technician for Blue Surf Pools and later Custom Pool Care. Michael was a lifelong car enthusiast, enjoyed fishing, boating, shooting, road trips and spending time with his friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Durwood Bridwell and his step-father John H. Bond Jr and survived by mother, Frances Eileen Bridwell Bond of Richardson; son, Christopher Michael Bridwell of Richardson; former wife, Robin O’Brien and husband, Dwight Estep of Dallas; several groups he considered extended family and many close friends.
