Mary Frances Pierson

Memorial services for Mary Frances Pierson, 79, of Athens, are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 8, 2017, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Athens.

Mary passed away July 1, 2017.

Mary Frances Hodges was born September 21, 1937 in Edgewood, TX, to the late Benjamin and Lottie Mae Hodges.  She was raised in West Texas, in a town called Haskell, where she also graduated high school. Mary continued her education and became an LVN and even was able to obtain an associate’s degree from Trinity Valley Community College at age 75. She loved her work as an LVN even up until the day she retired. Mary was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Athens.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Pierson; parents, Benjamin and Lottie Hodges and a daughter, Cynthia Eileen Pierson.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Helen Elizabeth Sievers; grandchildren, Sarah Mae Sweeting and Mary Ruth Pierson, along with great grandson, Michael Benjamin Sievers.
