Manuel R. Flores

Memorial services for Manuel R. Flores, 71, of Lindale, TX, are scheduled for 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Tyler Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, TX.

Manuel passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at his home.

Manuel R Flores was born on March 24, 1946, in Harlingen, TX, to parents, Mauro and Margarita Flores.  He was raised in Harlingen where he went to high school. Manuel married Olga Luna on December 18, 1966, in Loma Linda, CA. They lived in California where Manuel worked as an auto mechanic at Loma Linda University for forty years. Upon retiring in 2008, they moved to Lindale to make their home. Manuel was a member of the Tyler Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He loved to restore antique cars, camping and loved fishing.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ben Flores.

Manuel is survived by his wife, Olga Flores of Lindale; son, Michael Flores and wife Cristina of Highland, CA; siblings, Ralph Flores and wife Angelica of San Bernadino, CA, Mauro Flores, Jr. and wife Miro of West Linn, OR, Julio Flores and wife Beatrice of Colton, OR, Olga Silva and husband Saul of Yucaipa, CA, Josie Alvizo and husband Marcelino of Garland, TX, Maria Cordova and husband Ralph of Garland, TX, Rosie Campos and husband Victor of Rosarito, Mexico, Norma Vroom and husband Steve of Morena Valley, CA and Evangelina Villedas and Mauricio of Palmdale, CA, along with two grandchildren, Sean Flores and Matthew Flores of Highland, CA.
