Lola Fay Allen

Funeral services for Lola Fay Allen, 84, of Terrell are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Memorial Park in Seagoville.

Lola Fay Burns was born August 26, 1933, in Corsicana, TX to parents, Olan Burns and Lillian Phillips. She was raised in Rhome, TX where she attended school. Lola met and married Edgar Earl Allen and they lived in the Dallas and East Texas areas. She attended International Outreach Church in Wills Point and later Lakeview Church in Quinlan. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Earl Allen; sons, Anthony Earl Allen, Lynn Carl Pope and Larry Gene Beard; great-grandson, Anthony Chase Burrow.

Lola is survived by her sons, Joe Dennis and wife, Barbara, of Arlington, Jimmy Pope of Baltimore, MD and Doyle Wayne Pope of Temple; daughters, Charlotte Shewmake and husband, James, of Kaufman and Becky Taylor and husband, Mark, of Elmo; thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.
