James Ronald Brockman

Funeral services for James Ronald Brockman, 71, of Waxahachie, are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, August 18, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, with visitation an hour prior to service time. A private burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Edgewood.

Ronald passed away August 14, 2017, in Italy, Texas.

James Ronald Brockman was born August 6, 1946, in Wills Point, TX, to parents, James and Christine Brockman. He was raised in Wills Point and after graduating High School, he attended Cedar Valley College. Ronald served his country in the United States Army from 1966-1969. He married Karen Noe on July 3, 1982, in Cedar Hill, TX and they lived in Dallas until moving to Maypearl, TX in 1993 to make their home. Ronald was a mechanic for the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents; James and Christine Brockman; grandparents, Fred and Bessie Baker and Claude and Mae Brockman; uncles, Richard Baker, Eugene Baker, William Baker, Charles Brockman and Ivan Brockman; aunts, Dorothy Burleson and Vernell Parsons.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Karen Brockman of Waxahachie, TX; sons, Jeffrey Brockman and wife, Candace, of Tampa, FL and Eric Brockman of Maypearl, TX; daughter, Rhonda Poynor and husband, Russell, of Milford, TX; brother, Donald Brockman and wife, Savonna, of Wills Point, TX; sisters, Gloria Jean Lowe and husband, Hugh, of Wills Point, TX, Pam Wakefield and husband, Gene, of Tucson, AZ and Diane Grisham and husband, Don, of Frisco, TX; uncles, Leon Baker and wife, Selma, and Derrell Baker and wife, Eleta; aunt, Beatrice Turner and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Kelsey Poynor, Amanda Poynor, Ava Brockman, Trent Brockman, Gabriel Brockman, Ryker Di Lorenzo and Traeger Di Lorenzo.
