Hope Romona Dupree

Hope Romona Dupree, 71, of Edgewood passed away on November 12, 2017, in Canton, TX.

Hope Romona Baer was born June 24, 1946, in Wellsville, NY, to parents, Carl Daniel Baer and Eleanor Rowena Halladay. She was raised in Wellsville and graduated high school in Andover, NY. Hope married Maynard Dupree in Bergen, NY, in 1979. They stayed in Bergen before moving to Pinellas Park, FL. Hope and Maynard stayed in Pinellas Park for many years until Maynard’s passing in July of 2016. At which time her children moved her to Edgewood, TX, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. She was a homemaker most of her life and loved to bowl and square dance. Hope attended Episcopalian church.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Maynard Dupree; brothers, Marvin Baer and Don Halladay; sister, Donna Bartle, and grandson, Luke Truax.

Hope is survived by her children, Stan Truax and wife, Vicky, of Bergen, NY, Chris Truax of Terrell, TX, and Melissa Truax of Edgewood, TX; siblings, Dawn Loring and husband, Robert, of FL, and Manley Baer and wife, Sue, of NY; grandchildren, Brittany Roberts of Grand Saline, TX, Brandon Golish of Terrell, TX, Ashtin Truax of MI, Joelle Truax and Steele Truax, along with many great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
