Coach Staton was a wonderful man, teacher and coach. I'll always remember him. He took me out of his class for chewing gum. The class was mostly the football team and only a few girls. In the hall he told me to grab my ankles, I didn't, I was already crying. He reared back 'his board' , I saw it coming and closed my eyes. There was a loud, painful noise when he hit, His Leg! He said if I ever told he would give me 2 harder than that one. I didn't tell until know. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm thankful for his presence in my life. Sending love and prayers for y'all.
