Diana McDonald

Funeral services for Margot Diana McDonald, 66, of Edgewood, TX, are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at New Journey Church of God in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Bright Star Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home.  

Margot Diana Perales was born July 4, 1951, in Ada, Minnesota to parents, Manuel S. Perales and Micaela Reyes. Diana married Chester Frank McDonald in Denton, TX, on June 4, 1976. They moved to Wills Point in 1984 and she and C.F. spent forty wonderful years together before he preceded her in death on November 24, 2015. Diana owned and operated The Hair Designer for thirty years and worked there five years prior to purchasing the salon. She was a member of New Journey Church of God. Diana loved cooking, sewing and crafting.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Micaela Perales; husband, Chester Frank McDonald and sister, Olga Melva Slivinskas.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Donna Wood of Edgewood; brothers, Manuel S. Perales, Jr. and wife Eva, Joe Perales and wife Yolanda and Salvador Perales and wife Stefanie; sisters, Manerva Castellanos and husband Gilbert, Nellie McInnish and Bill Wilcox, Gloria Vizcarra and husband Juan, Micaela Choquette and husband Gerald and Pearl Turner; grandchildren, Zachary Adams and wife Maegan and Micaela Wood both of Edgewood; great grandchildren, Cade Frank Adams and Colt Lane Adams.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
