Curtis "Ricky" Mac Martin

Funeral services for Curtis Ricky Mac Martin, 59, of Canton, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Edgewood. Burial will follow at Small Cemetery.

Ricky passed away August 23, 2017, at his home in Canton, after a short battle with lung cancer.

Curtis Ricky Mac Martin was born in Grand Saline, on July 1, 1958, Doris Jean Fletcher Morgan and the late Johnnie Mac Martin.  He was raised in Grand Saline and attended Grand Saline High School.  Ricky raised three sons, Curtis, Josh and James in Canton and was employed with I-20 Truck Repair as a master gas and diesel mechanic.  He was of the Christian faith and was always willing to help other people day or night.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Doris Jean Morgan of Grand Saline; sons, Curtis Martin of Wylie, Josh Martin of Fairfield and James Elliott of Canton; brothers, John Morgan of San Antonio, David Morgan of Big Sandy, Charles Burns of Quinlan; sisters, Lana Spielhagen of Grand Saline, Becky Harper of Wills Point and Bonnie Chaney of Grand Saline; grandchildren, Logan Ainsworth, Bethany Martin, Justin Martin, Emily Martin, Charity Martin, Payton Elliott and Carson Elliott; and many other relatives and friends.

Family visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Saturday evening at the Edgewood Funeral Home.
