Carl Ervin Rea

Carl Ervin Rea, 86, put on immortality on May 23, 2017.  He was a faithful servant of God, beloved husband, and devoted father and grandfather. 

Carl was born January 21, 1931, to William Carlus and Annie Bell Rea.  He was raised in the Hayden community near Wills Point, and was called to full-time gospel ministry in 1948.  He married his wife of 68 years, Mary Ann, in October 1948 and they had three children-Kenneth Ervin, Carla Lynette, and Truman Andrew.  He served the Lord for 60 years as a pastor, evangelist, and church planter.  He is survived not only by his wife, sons and daughter, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but also by many sons and daughters in the faith.

Services will be held on Friday, May 26, 2017, at Hiett’s-LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point, Texas.  Visitation will begin at noon with the funeral service following at 1 pm.  Interment will be at White Rose Cemetery, Wills Point, Texas.

His concern for those without Christ and his love for Jesus continued into his final days, when, in God’s goodness, he preached his final sermon to family members in his home.  In memory of Carl’s life lived for God’s glory, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to:  HeartCry Missionary Society, P.O.
