Bobbie Pearl Rigby

Bobbie Pearl Rigby passed away Friday, January 5, 2018, in Tyler. She was born December 12, 1941, to parents, Walter James and Addie Mae Rice Chavers. Bobbie was raised in Dallas. She married Wesley Lyon in Dallas in 1958 and they made their home to raise their children. Bobbie was a stay at home mother and homemaker, she and Wesley lived in numerous places around the U.S. due to his military service. They later divorced after 20 years. Bobbie later married Eugene Rigby. She and Eugene were married for 25 years before he preceded her in death. One of Bobbie’s last jobs was a caregiver for hospice and the elderly, she also volunteered for the local food bank. Bobbie was of the Catholic faith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Addie Chavers; daughter, Lori Ann Lyon; twin sister, Robbie Mearl Winkles and brothers, Everett, Lonnie, Ronnie and Jack Ray Chavers.

Bobbie is survived by her son, Wesley Lyon of Denton; daughters, Regina Majors and husband, Cary, of Edgewood, Joyce Cole and husband, Brad, of Garland and Michelle Renee Hanson and husband, Albert, of Flower Mound; sister, Pamela Cummings of Allen; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
