Billy Hugh Bruster was born October 31, 1930 on a farm near Carthage, Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents, JB and Nellie Bruster.

His dad’s job with the T&P Railroad brought the family to Wills Point in 1943, where Billy graduated from Wills Point High School in 1947. He worked for the T&P Railroad until he joined the Air Force and served his country during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge, he attended HCJC and subsequently graduated in 1957 from North Texas State College. He spent his professional career as a purchasing agent/contract negotiator for Chance Vought Aircraft. Shortly after his retirement he volunteered at the Irving Cancer Center where he drove their van and transported patients for treatment.

During his first marriage, he had two children. He later married the love of his life, Dorothy Bruster. They were blessed with 40 years together. Billy loved playing golf and at age 82, finally got a hole in one. He and Dorothy enjoyed traveling in their RV and made many wonderful friends during their “camping days”. Billy became a member of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church in 1944. He became a member of the Wills Point Masonic Lodge #422 in 1952 and recently was honored to receive his 60 year pin. In his youth, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 381. He was a member of the Seekers Class of Russell Memorial United Methodist Church where he previously served on the Board of Trustees for the church. Billy was a former Director of the White Rose Cemetery Association. Billy was also a member of the Wills Point Historical Society.

The love and support Billy and Dorothy received during his illness will always be cherished and never forgotten.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Bruster of Wills Point, son, Brett Bruster (Jan) of Dallas and daughter, Kelli Bruster Holloway (Steve) of Woodville. Five grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
