Betty Jo (Baker) Cooper

Funeral services for Betty Baker Cooper, 84, of Wills Point are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Monday, November 20, 2017, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point with Brother Steve Glosup officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Terrell.

Betty passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Kaufman, TX.  She was born August 3, 1933, in Quinlan, TX to Fred and Doshie Baker. Betty attended school in Quinlan. She and her first husband lived and worked in the Quinlan and Terrell area. Betty moved to Wills Point in 1962 where she and her husband, Tom, raised their family. She was an exceptional seamstress and worked in the clothing industry for many years with her beloved sister. Betty enjoyed fishing and camping with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Daniel Corbett and Cecil “Tom” Cooper; son, Randall Cooper; two brothers and three sisters.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Carolyn James and husband, Tim; son, Dale Corbett and wife, Jodi; daughter, Brenda Mitchell and husband, Randy; son, David Cooper and wife, Penny; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, November 19, 2017, at Hiett’s LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point.
